PepsiCo helped create this iPhone app for use at SXSW. Two minute tour of the app.

It was a power packed few days and it was amazing. I thought I would be attending a few seminars and hanging out at the PepsiCo booth. This was so much more… There was so much to do, so much to see and the this event put the SOCIAL in social media. Here is a 1:25 second video that is seeing SXSW through my lens….

Demo of the Sobe “Share The Ink” kiosk at SXSW Interactive. The Sobe tent at Sxsw interactive featured the ability to snap a photo, select a tattoo, place it on your picture and then share it with your friends. It was pretty cool….

The best new iPhone app has to be FourSquare. For anyone who has not heard of this application for the iPhone, you will. Shortly. Think Twitter about a year ago. It emerged onto the SXSW scene and hit it like that “Pants On the Ground” song did to American Idol this year. — (Click the title above for the rest of the blog post)

Bonin Bough, PepsiCo’s Global Director of Digital and Social Media, talks about a few of the activities the company is sponsoring at 2010 SxSW Interactive.

Local TV station KXAN reported that attendance for SXSW interactive was up 40% over last year. Additionally they reported that nearly every hotel room in downtown Austin was occupied.

About halfway through the presentation, a member of the audience asked one of the co-presenters a question about the best ways to get your resume into a company…and that’s when things changed! Our friend the presenter said, “Well, we have three recruiters right here in the front row, so why don’t we ask them.” The session quickly changed to an informal panel discussion – with me being one of three people answering questions and offering tips and tricks to job seekers.

This is my first South By Southwest (Sxsw) experience and I am absolutely honored to have the opportunity to be in Austin at the event. I have learned a ton about new technologies and ways to leverage Social Media in the last 24 hours. Imagine having all of the experts in your field talking about the new cool tools they are using and what the future looks like for Social Media. This is Sxsw Interactive!
